London – February 2015
The Vertical Transportation Studio founded by John Stopes at the end of 2013 are appointed as vertical transportation consultants on the rejuvenated Pinnacle site now known as 22 Bishopsgate in the city of London.
The new building is being developed by Lipton Rogers and designed by architects PLP who John has been supporting over the past few years. The Fund Managers are AXA Real Estate.
The vertical transportation strategy has been key to determining the final height and core arrangement of the building.
John Stopes said: ‘We are delighted to be appointed as the Vertical Transportation consultants for what will be the UK’s largest commercial office building. I see this as the culmination of all the experience gained over the last almost 40 years through working on many of Canary Wharf’s towers and more recently, large scale projects in the city of London such as 100 Bishopsgate, Principal Place and London Wall Place. We are very much looking forward to continuing our work with Lipton Rogers, PLP and the rest of the team over the coming years and to delivering a world class building using a world class vertical transportation solution.’
